Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Benjamin Osten, Basel, Switzerland (hello@zemvia.app).

2. Data we collect

We collect the information you provide during registration (name, email address), your activity on the platform (loops joined, messages posted), and technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and analytics purposes.

3. Why we collect it

We use your data to operate the platform, send you notifications you have requested, improve Zemvia, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email) under appropriate data processing agreements.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and the GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact hello@zemvia.app.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a locale cookie to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and row-level security in our database.
